There's always a need for more & better documentation, and there are many interesting things in the wiki that need to be completed:
- Almost everything in the Music Player Daemon Protocol needs to be documented

- Help is always wanted in MPD projects, if you're interested in helping develop a specific project please contact the applicable author(s).

There is porting work needed to be done to get MPD running in windows see the Windows Compatibility page for more information.

We need to get MPD into more distributions, if you have the means getting it into a distribution, or simply can request it, the following are examples of a few good candidates:

Many have spoken of wanting MPD on a liveCD. Couldn't this be done using a simple MPD Morphix module?
